About EasyMovement

Built for the way Lusaka moves

EasyMovement is the public fare platform for the city's buses. It keeps a single record of who travelled, what the corridor costs, and what reached the operator.

The starting point

Fares were collected route by route, mostly in cash

A conductor knew the fare. A passenger often found it out at the door. At the end of the day an owner rebuilt the takings from notes, and the city had little shared view of what had moved.

EasyMovement puts that day in one place. The fare is published in Zambian Kwacha. The payment can be mobile money, a transit wallet, or cash with a receipt. The control centre reads the same transactions the conductor just recorded.

Workspaces show saved operational records. Routes and buses appear after registration and approval.

How we work

Four rules the platform keeps

Fares stay visible

A passenger sees the Kwacha fare for a corridor before they pay. The same figure is what the conductor records.

Cash and digital share a ledger

Mobile money, the transit wallet, and on-board cash land in one transaction list, each with a status.

Each role sees its own work

Conductors validate passes. Owners watch their buses. Passengers only see their journey. Nobody switches roles.

Payment connections

Mobile money providers are not connected yet. GPS locations appear only when reported during an assigned trip.
